Peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home, on Monday, March 21, 2011, of H. Bennett Carr of West Royalty, age 81 years. Beloved husband of Jean (nee Coffin-MacKay). Loving father of Debbie MacKay (Bernie O’Rourke), Clive MacKay (Elizabeth Soper), Alexis Carr (Tyler Richardson), Darke (Marya) and Mark (predeceased). Poppy to 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Brother of Allison (Lois), Jean Bulman and Charlie (Anna) Carr. Brother-in-law of Mildred Carr, Scott (Pam) Coffin, Alan (Kay – predeceased) Champion, Virginia (Carlyle) Phillips, Gerald (Annette) Coffin and Exton Bulman. Nephew of Edith Crabbe. Uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Howard and Mae Carr, sister Thelma Irene and brothers Alvin, Wilmet, Clarence, Robert, and John (Phyllis). Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. Funeral Wednesday from St. John’s Anglican Church, Milton at 11 a.m. Interment later in St. Mark’s Anglican Church Cemetery, South Rustico. Family flowers only, however if so desired memorials to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation or Scottish Rite Memorial Foundation would be appreciated.
