Passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 7, 2008, at the age of ninety-three at St. Margaret’s Home, Westmount, QC.
Beloved mother of Sandra Smith (James) and L. Ian MacDonald. Devoted grandmother to James, Andrew, Michael and Christina Smith and Grace Martha and Zara MacDonald. Great grandmother to Bond, Taylor, Hunter, Maxwell, Mary, Nathaniel and Robert.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Arthur Lamond (Art) MacDonald.
Born in Halifax in 1915, Marian MacDonald was career nurse who became matron of Queen Mary Veteran’s Hospital.
Cremation has taken place. A Mass and memorial service was held December 11, 2008 at the Ascension of Our Lord Parish, Westmount QC.
Internment of the ashes and graveside service will be held Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Oakfield Cemetery, Hillside Rd., Mira.
