Janice Léger
LÉGER – JANICE, 55, of Moncton passed away on Thursday March 24, 2011 following a courageous battle with cancer. Born on February 14, 1956 in Moncton, she was the daughter of Pierrette (Melanson) Bourque of Moncton and the late Ronald Bourque. Besides her mother, she will be sadly missed by her husband of 31 years, Conrad Léger, her daughter, Julie Léger (Samuel Vautour), her son Jacques Léger (Sabrina Bergeron); one brother-in-law, Dolland Léger (Pat Drisdelle); three sisters-in-law: Denise Landry (Charles), Adrienne LeBlanc (Donald) and Murielle Léger-O’Connor (Gary), many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Janice was a professional skating coach, a career she enjoyed for 36 years. She taught in various clubs throughout her career including Moncton, Cap-Pelé, Shediac, Edmundston, Riverview and Dieppe and brought many talented figure skaters to various local, regional and national events. Janice enjoyed the coming of summer to spend time at the cottage in Parlee Beach with her family and friends while enjoying her favorite hobby, gardening.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church St., Moncton (858-1900) on Sunday March 27, 2011 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. ONLY. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-de-Grâce R.C. Church, Parkton (854 Mountain Rd.), Moncton at 11 a.m. on Monday March 28, 2011.
