RYAN, Leonard James– Passed away in Toronto on 16 June, 2009, age 73. Len was a retired teacher and active community volunteer. Predeceased by his parents Martin and Edith Ryan, Little Paradise, P.B.; sisters Mary Maynard (Francis), Agatha Starret (Gordon), Bernadette and Rosemary; brothers Dennis (Joan) and Martin. Leaving to mourn and celebrate his life are his brother Paul and sister Sr. Margaret (P.B.V.M.) in St. John’s, and his brother Dermot and sister-in-law Stella in Winnipeg; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family across Canada and the U.S. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, on Wednesday, 29 July from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held 9:30 a.m. Thursday, 30 July, at the Basilica of St. John the Baptist.
