It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and sister-in-law on July 27, 2009 at St. Clare’s Hospital, surrounded by her devoted and loving family. Predeceased by her husband Alexander F. Ruby, sister Stella Ruby and brother-in-law Gerald Boyles. Leaving to mourn daughters Marjorie (Gordon) Snelgrove, Edith (Graham) Young, Gail (James) Hansford; son Alexander (Laurie) Ruby and son-in-law Patrick Hayes; Nan’s pride and joy, grandchildren Joseph, Corey, Sarah, Katelyn, Julia, Jessica, Abigail, Nicole and four great-grandchildren; one sister Marjorie Boyles; brother George (Mildred) Taylor; brothers-in-law Cyril and Hubert Ruby; special friend Pearl Langmead and a large circle of relatives and friends. The family wishes to thank all those who showed kindness to our mother during her illness, especially her doctors, nurses and the staff and friends at Ruby Manor. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, July 30 at 2 p.m. from St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Goulds. Interment to follow at St. Matthews Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers will be gratefully accepted at St. Paul’s Anglican Church.
