Captain Michael William J. Aucoin, 36, of Etters, died Thursday, April 7, 2011 in Harrisburg Hospital, Harrisburg, PA, USA with his devoted, loving wife Lisa at his side.
Michael was a Captain in the Canadian Army currently serving as Liaison to the US Army at DDSP/DDRE, Fairview Twp., New Cumberland and had previously served in Bosnia, Herzegovina.
He was born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, the precious son of Michael J. and L. Marie (Brown) Aucoin of Reserve Mines, Nova Scotia. He was a graduate of Reserve District High School, Reserve Mines, Nova Scotia and St. Mary's University, Halifax, Nova Scotia. In addition to his wife and family, his passions included motorcycles, motorcycle racing and traveling the world.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his loving wife Lisa L. Ball, her parents Gord and Carol and brother Ryan, along with several aunts, uncles and cousins; and many, many friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Joe and Dell Aucoin and his maternal grandparents, William and Louisa Brown.
A Military Funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, April 11, 2011 in Parthemore Funeral Home & Cremation Services, New Cumberland, PA. Viewing will be from 1:30-3:30 pm Monday in the funeral home. There will be an additional Memorial Service at a future date in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Burial will be in St. Joseph Parish Cemetery, Reserve Mines, Nova Scotia.
