Garret Brian Burton, 15, beloved son of Douglas and Karen (Kingston) Burton of Moncton, passed away on Friday, April 8, 2011. Born in Moncton, Garret was a grade 10 Student at Harrison Trimble High School and a forward with the Harrison Trimble High School Hockey team as well as a member of the Soccer and Volleyball teams. In addition to playing sports, Garret was an active member of the YMCA, he enjoyed listening to music, socializing with his friends and spending quality time with his family. In addition to his parents Douglas and Karen, Garret will be sadly missed by his loving sister, Rachel; his grandparents, Carmel Kingston of Miramichi, Harry Burton (Maxine Casey) of Summerside, PEI, Marilyn McKay (Bill) of Miramichi and several loving extended family members. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Frank Kingston and his uncle, Brian Kingston.
No public visitation hours by family request. Funeral Mass to be held at St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church, Wednesday April 13, 2011, 2:00pm, Rev. Yvon Arsenault officiating. Interment, Most Pure Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Cemetery, Barnaby River, in the spring.
