It is with sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Carol Ann Boutilier, age 64, wife, mother, sister and aunt on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at the Northside General Hospital.
Born in North Sydney on September 25, 1952, she was the daughter of the late George and Louise (Leyte) Burt. Carol was devoted to caring for her family. She loved picking blueberries in the summer. She was a former member of North Sydney Legion, dart league.
Carol is survived by her husband, Glen; her two children, Derrick and Holly, both at home; her siblings, Harry (Christine) Burt, Walter (Winnie) Burt, both of Sydney Mines, Edith (Allister) MacIsaac, Linda Burt (Kevin MacDougall), Mary Lou Burt, all of North Sydney, Cathy (Arthur) Rose, Ontario; brother-in-law, Joe Simpson, Sydney Mines; also by her sister-in-law, Linda Campbell, Sydney Mines; brothers-in-law, Keith (Gloria) Boutilier, Bras d’Or, Clayton (Paula) Boutilier, Millville, Peter (Corrine) Boutilier, North Sydney and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brother, George; her sister, Marg; her mother and father-in-law, Roy & Eileen Boutilier; brother-in-law, Roddie; sister-in-law, Ann; brothers-in-law, Robert and David Boutilier, Gerry Campbell; sisters-in-law, Lorraine and Gloria Boutilier. There will be no visitation by request. A funeral service for Carol will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at St. Matthew Wesley United Church, North Sydney with Rev. Stephen Mills officiating. Burial will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Sydney.
