McNutt, St Clair Dennis - 88, Bible Hill, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017, at the Mira Long Term Care Center Truro, with all his loving family by his side. Born November 9, 1928 in McCallum Settlement, he was the son of late Milton Blair and Leta Daisy (Tattrie) McNutt of MacCallum Settlement. St Clair grew up in MacCallum Settlement and then raised his family in Bible Hill. He was a hard working carpenter and concrete finisher most of his life.
St Clair leaves behind his wife of 34 years, Jessie Abriel (The Mira); his daughters Lynn Chase (Brian Naves), Joan Irving (Robert), Joyce McNutt (Curtis Caddell), all of North River, Debbie McNutt (Bible Hill), Cherie (Peter Keaveney) of Salmon River; Sister, Frances Sproule (Salmon River); brother Harry (Marion), Moncton; sister in law Anna McNutt (Bible Hill). Twelve grandchildren; eleven great- grandchildren.
He was predeceased by daughter Carol Ann; sisters Helen and Greta; brothers Jack, Elmer and Blair.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, from where visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 6th from 6-9 pm. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, June 7th at 2 pm at the Mira Long Term Center, 426 Young Street, Truro, with Reverend Dan Gunn officiating. Donations in memory may be made to St David's United Church or to the Bible Hill Cemetery. St Clair's family would like to express a special thank you to the staff at the Mira for their wonderful care during his short stay there.
