It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shirley Wolfe (nee MacDougall) of Charlottetown age 85 years, peacefully with her family by her side at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday June 3, 2017. Ma was survived by her eight loving children Diane Cotter, Debbie Garner, Stephen, Elaine (Andrew) Thompson, Calvin (LouAnne), Marleen, Scott and Heather. Beloved Gram to her eighteen grandchildren Matthew (Liz) Cotter, Kristen (Cris) Amanti, Brent Garner, Angela, Michael (Felicia), Jennie (Spencer) Thompson, Derek (Samantha) Thompson, John-Alec (Taylor) Thompson, Rebecca (Tyler) Gallant, Kurtis, Emily, Ryan (Kaylee) Hately, Alex Hately, Brittany, Kimberley, Shelly, Erica Frisk and Nicole Frisk. Great Gram to Avery and Logan Cotter, Emery and Jack Amanti, Keeva Hately and Gabriel Thompson. Predeceased by her parents Mary Ann and Hughie G. MacDougall; sisters Jemima, Marcella and Jane; and brothers Jordan, Donnie and John. Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Funeral Home, Charlottetown for visitation on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 from 6-9 p.m. and Wednesday, June 7, 2017 from 12 noon until 1:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 2 p.m. at St. Pius X Parish, Charlottetown on Wednesday, June 7, 2017. Family and friends are welcome to join in a Celebration of Shirley’s Life Blessings at the PEI Brewing Company (PEI’s version of The Hoff), 96 Kensington Road at 3 p.m. (until the last person leaves).
