Passed peacefully away at Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on Sunday, June 11, 2017 William (Eugene) Mayo of Burin in his 91st year.
Leaving to mourn with loving and precious memories sons Reuben Mayo (Leona) of Brooks, AB, Wayne Mayo (Gail) of Burin, NL, Roy Mayo (Penny) of Moser River, NS; grandchildren Sandra Mayo, Jason Mayo, Gillian Mayo, Zachary Mayo; great-grandchildren Jaelah Mayo, Jaaren Mayo; sisters Alice (Gordon Young) of Marystown, Pauline (Cyril Dodge) of St. John's, NL; brother Gerald Mayo (Lucille) of St. John's NL plus a large circle of nephews, nieces , and other family and friends.
Predeceased by parents Reuben and Isabelle Mayo, wife Rita Mayo, siblings Raymond, Helen, Clyde, Leland, Gordon.
Rev. James Spencer officiated Funeral service from Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Ship Cove on Thursday June 15, 2017 In Keeping with his wishes cremation followed with inurnment of the ashes at a later date.
Pall Bearers were Reuben Mayo (son), Wayne Mayo (son), Roy Mayo (son), Jason Mayo (son), Gordon Young (brother-in-law), Shane Foote (family friend).
