Rose Marie Mitchell (nee McPhee), of Charlottetown, passed away at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre on Monday, June 12, 2017, age 72 years. Born in Glace Bay, NS, she was a daughter of the late Ambrose and Margaret (nee MacKinnon) McPhee. Rose is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years Morgan; sons Joe (Colleen), Shawn (Sarah) and Patrick (Joanna); daughter Shannon (Dave) Hodgson; nephew James Mitchell; grandchildren Dakota, Keegan, Brayden and Casey Mitchell, Olivia Hodsgon and Connor McLean; great grandson Kane Mitchell; brothers Joseph (Grace), Frank (Theresa) and Neil (Inga) McPhee; sister Mary "Minnie" (John) Morrison; special relatives Anne, Jennifer, Cassie, Cody and Kevin McPhee, and Shane Morrison; best friends Bobby and Kathleen Adams, and Kay Jay. She is also survived by her mother-in-law Julia Mitchell; brothers-in-law Gerald (Sheila), Regan (Colette), David (Marilyn) and John (Claire Nantes) Mitchell; sisters-in-law Julia (Claude Parent) and Mary (Al Dowling). Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a sister in infancy and her father-in-law R. Gerald Mitchell. Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Friday morning, then transferred to St. Pius X Church for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment will take place in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
