It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bessie Hann announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Monday, June 19, 2017 in her 90th year. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Margaret Anderson (Garry), Danny Hann (Bonnie), Ivy Wells (Bruce), Ivan Hann (Patricia), Una Brake (Rod) and Kerry Hann (Paula); grandchildren: Pamela, Lori, Timmy, Amanda, Bruce Jr., Jillian, Chantel, Daina, Laura, Jennifer, Frank and Robyn; great-grandchildren: Maddison, Braden, Matthew, Emma, Nicholas, Daniel, Arianna, Jaden, Keegan, Anna, Victoria, Thomas, Eric and Jay; special niece/sister Annie White; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Harvey Hann; parents John and Emma Penney; brothers and sisters: Hayward Penney (Mina), Bernard Penney (Bertha), Arch Penney, Constance Penny (William Dennis), Gwendaline Penny (Winston Hann), Aida Penney (Frank Kendall), Arch Penney (Chetty Steers), Liza Penney (Phillip Tapp) and Lillian Penny (deceased at 11 months). Special thanks to the staff at 3B WMR Hospital. Friends may visit Bethany United Church in Summerside on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 between the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., from where the funeral service will take place on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Jocelyn Cook officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Bethany United Church Fund.
