Mr. Les Mitchell of Carbonear passed away suddenly at the Carbonear General Hospital on Sunday, June 11, 2017. Mr. Mitchell was 79 years old. He leaves to mourn his loving family: wife Trudy Mitchell; children: Jennifer Mitchell, Bill (Marie) Mitchell, Jody (Haley) Mitchell, Stephanie (Stephen) Lasko; step-children: Martin (Carol), Kelly (Ben) Thornber; grandchildren: Meghan, Ethan, Ellen, Anna, Rhonwyne, Charlie, Ava, Isla, Kiya and Elijah; sister and brother-in-law: Frances (Wayne) Harvey and William Glynn; and a circle of family and friends. Predeceased by parents: Fredrick and Annie Mitchell; sister Minnie Tuck; step-daughter Alexander Tucker. The Final Farewell took place 2 P.M. on Thursday, June 15, 2017 from Slade's Funeral Home, Carbonear with interment to follow at the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear. The family received relatives and friends at SLADE'S FUNERAL HOME, POWELL DRIVE, CARBONEAR, on Tuesday: 3 - 5 P.M. and 7-9 P.M., Wednesday: 2 - 5 P.M. and 7-9 P.M. and Thursday: 1P.M.- 2 P.M.
