PHILLIPS, Gwendolyn Marie – age 81, Vancouver Place Senior’s Residence passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born August 2, 1935 in Yarmouth, she was a daughter of the late John and Florence (Pierce) Robicheau. Gwen was a homemaker and was known for selling Avon for many years. She loved her family and her dog, Klunker, was a die-hard Blue Jays fan and was a proud South-ender. She is survived by her children, Kim (Jimmy) Allen, Sandford; Scott (Denise) Phillips, Overton; Dana (Sue) Phillips, Dayton; Jody (Curtis) Pyne, Hebron; Ronnie (Kim) Lynk, South Ohio; Jason (Terra) Phillips, Arcadia, as well as nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Her great grandson Wyatt visited with her every day and she also lived to see the birth of her two most recent great grandchildren, Layla and Lynk. She is also survived by a brother, Billy Robicheau, Pinkney’s Point. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Bart Phillips and the love of her life, Ron Lynk, as well as by a daughter, Dawn “Sweetie” Phillips; a brother, Dickie Robicheau; sisters, Kathleen “Kitty” Comeau, Isabelle O’Connell and Betty Baker. Visitation took place from 7-9 Sunday evening, followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m., Monday, June 26, both at H.M. Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth, Pastor Larry Pennell officiated. Interment followed in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Forest Street, Yarmouth.
