1925-2017
Lloyd James Trainor passed away peacefully at the Villa du Repos in Moncton on Friday, June 30, 2017 at the age of 91. He was the husband of Robina (Gallant) Trainor. Born on December27, 1925 in Roseville P.E.I.; he was the son of the late James and Jeanette Trainor. He will be greatly missed by his children: Bonita Trainor-Paquet and Gary Trainor; his grandchildren: Troy, Celine and Robert; his great granddaughters: Taya-May and Taylor; his sister: Mary Gallant; his nieces and nephews: Theresa, Anita, Dale, David, Bernadette, Marie and Betsy-Lou. He is predeceased by his brother, Gerald Trainor and his brother-in-law, Paul Gallant. Lloyd was very proud of his long career as a longshoreman at the Toronto Dockyard. He had worked there for over 25 years until his retirement. Visitations took place on Monday, July 3 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Fair Haven Funeral Home and Cemetery (1177 Salisbury Road, Moncton). A funeral mass was celebrated on Monday, July 3 at 1:30 p.m. at St-Bernard RC (43 Botsford Street, Moncton). The family would like to thank the entire staff of the Villa du Repos in Moncton for the devoted care provided to Lloyd during the last several years and the compassion given to his family during his final days. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Parkinson’s Foundation of Canada would be greatly appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Fair Haven Funeral Home and Cemetery (506) 852–3530.
