Peacefully after a sudden illness, it is with deep regret and great sadness, we announce the passing of Katrina on Thursday, June 29, 2017 in Winnipeg, MB at the young age of 27 years. Katrina lived in Martensville, SK with her beloved husband Shelby of three months of marriage.
Left to cherish Katrina’s memory are her husband Shelby; parents Patrick and Barbara; siblings Stephanie (Mark), Andrew (Cassy), Timothy (Kelsey) and Benjamin; mother and father-in-law Dave and Carol; sister-in-law Lindsay (Max); brothers-in-law Landon, Zachary; sisters-in-law Lorena, Trysta and Dominey; uncles Andy (LeAnn) Mryglod and Larry Mryglod; nieces and nephews Schylar, Nixon, Emilee, Benson, Madison, Liam, Jacob and Zayden; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins from the Morris/Woods side. She was predeceased by Grandpa and Grandma Woods, Grandma Roberta Morris; Grandpa Fred Morris, uncle Guy Yeo and older brother Richard. She was also predeceased from Shelby’s side, Grandpa and Grandma Kashewka and Grandpa and Grandma Mryglod.
Katrina was born and raised in Saskatoon, SK. She attended St. Augustine Elementary School, St. Joseph High School and McKay Business College. Katrina’s favourite things in life were reading, all things Disney, snow globes and spending time with her “creatures” (little kids she knew). Shelby and Trina loved going on dinner and movie dates. Before every one of her shifts at the hospital, they would get a tea and coffee. Katrina loved working at RUH Emergency, and loved all the people she worked with.
The family would like to thank the paramedics and first responders who came to our aid swiftly, as well as the medical staff and everyone else who did all they could for her at St. Boniface Hospital making sure she was comfortable in her final days.
Katrina’s Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 7, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Spirit Church, 114 Kingsmere Place, Saskatoon, SK.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Katrina’s memory to Mental Health or Domestic Abuse charities.
