Brian MacDougall

We the family of Brian MacDougall, sadly announce his passing on July 6, 2017. He was a son of the late Francis and Susan (Gale) MacDougall, loving brother, uncle and friend to many including his siblings, Greg (Ruth) and Wayne, both of Glace Bay, Cora (late Hugh Richards), BC, Margaret (late Rene Karrer) and Hector (Joan), both of ON; sisters-in-law, Loretta MacDougall, Sydney and Connie MacDougall ON; as well as his many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his partner, William Wilkinson; siblings, James (Sadie), Ken and Rita.
Graduated from St. Anne’s High School in 1963, Brian spent most of his career working for the City of Toronto before returning to Glace Bay to retire in 1992.
Brian was an avid cat lover and he volunteered with the Feral and Abandoned Cat Society and the SPCA.
The family would like to thank Dr. Glen Worth for his many years of compassionate care; as well as the doctors and nursing staff of the Glace Bay General Hospital.
In following Brian’s wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of Curry’s Funeral Home. A private family ceremony will take place at later date.
Memorial donations can be made to the Feral and Abandoned Cat Society or charity of one’s choice.
