MacLeod,Elizabeth (Beth) Bayliss
Elizabeth (Beth) MacLeod, 91, Durham passed away peacefully on July 18/2017 at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Broadway, Pictou County, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Dewar (MacGregor).
She was an adherent to the Presbyterian Church in Durham and lived in Central West River most of her life. She was a school teacher in her younger years. She was a member of the Durham Church ladies guild and Women’s Institute of Nova Scotia.
Surviving are her daughters; Judy (former husband Ken Coady) (Mary Lou) and Brenda (Jim); grandchildren; Shauna (Tim), Brian (Pepper), Susan, Allyson & Amelia; great grandchildren; Kaitlyn, Logan, Zack & Evan. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was predeceased by her husband Medford Alvin; a brother Allen; and four sisters Coral, Margaret, Anne and Janet.
Her remains are being cremated under the direction of the H.W. Angus Funeral Home.
There will be no visitation at her request. A family service will be held at a later date in the Durham cemetery.
Beth loved animals, donations in her memory may be made to the Pictou County SPCA.
