Robert Henry JOHNSTON
January 8, 1930 – July 25, 2017
Robert “Bob” Johnston, beloved husband of Marion passed away at the Herb Bassett Home on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at the age of 87. He and Marion were married on December 14, 1951. Bob is survived by his wife, Marion; his daughters, Bernice (Wilf Paulhus) and Grandchildren Perry and Melynda Gaudet (Vince) and great grandchildren; Denis, Colton and Preston; Donna (Dick Gottselig) and grandchildren Diane and great granddaughter Ashlyn; and granddaughter Kristy. Janelle (Bob Ernest) and grandchildren Janessa (Nick Lepine) and great grandchild Ricky and granddaughter Kimberly (Brayden Hart) and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Leonard and Elizabeth; his brother Bell Senkin; and sisters Elsie Payne and Grace Johnston. Bob’s greatest love was his family. He was a member of the Prince Albert Cosmopolitan Club for many years and was the Governor which meant he travelled to many conventions. He worked for the Department of Highways as a heavy duty mechanic. Bob was an avid golfer and made numerous hole-in-ones. He had a great sense of humor and was always teasing someone about something. Dad and Mom loved going to Hemet, California for over 20 years in the winter. They spent the summers in Waskesiu. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, July 31, 2017 at 2:00pm at Gray’s Funeral Chapel. Interment will be held at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. It was Dad’s request, in lieu of other tributes, donations can be made to the Cosmopolitan Club. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.
