It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Esther Marie (Spears) Wallace.
Born in 1954 at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, she was the daughter of the late Courtley and Elizabeth (MacLeod) Spears.
Esther is survived by her husband of 44 years, James “Jimmy"; her sons Tim (Jillian) and Jeff (Shawna); grandsons Luke, Brandon and Breckin; brothers Robert and John and sisters Sally and Peggy.
A long-time employee of the Aberdeen Hospital for 29 years, she enjoyed working in her flower gardens and going for walks, but most of all enjoyed doing things with her grandsons.
Esther was predeceased by brother Ricky; father-in-law Robert Wallace and mother-in-law Dorothy Wallace.
The family would like to thank the staff of Aberdeen and Valley View Villa for the excellent care given during Esther's illness.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation at her request. A private family service will be held at a later date. Donations in her memory maybe made to Palliative Care Unit, Aberdeen Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Eagles Funeral Home, Westville.
