It is with great sadness that the family of the late William Arthur Simmonds announce his passing on Monday, July 31st, 2017 at the Long Term Care Unit in Corner Brook in his 97th year. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Beulah (nee Anderson), his son David (Dulcie), grandsons Paul (Amanda) Simmonds and Mark (Mandy) Simmonds, great-grandchildren Jacob Simmonds and Hannah Simmonds, brother-in-law Edward (Sadie) and sister-in-law Albertha Upwards, also a large circle of relatives and friends. William was predeceased by his parents John and Sarah Simmonds, brothers Leslie (Alice), and Charlie (Myrtle), sisters Flora (Ben) Shears, Lucy (Sidney) Anderson, Ella (Charles) Moores and Eva (Harold) Young, brothers-in-law Pye (Amanda) Anderson and Joshua (Doreen) Anderson, parents-in-law Albert and Florence Anderson. Visitation will take place from the The Church of The Resurrection in Birchy Head, Bonne Bay on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 from 4-9 pm. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, August 3, 3017 at 11 am with Rev. Kay Short and Canon Paulette Bugden officiating. Interment to follow at the family plot.
