The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth on Saturday, August 5, 2017 of Bruce Jay of Pisquid, age 81 years. Beloved husband of Gloria (nee Mitchell) and loving father of Lloyd (Donna), Arthur (Donna), Sterling (Donna), Melvin (Katie) and special nephew Darren. Grampie of Cassandra, Sarah, Brittany, Kristie, Jordan, Mandy, Bruce, Nicolle and John. Great-grandfather of Hayden, Cameron and Sawyer. Brother of Audrey (Ray) Shaw. Brother-in-law of Reg MacNevin, Roger (Jean) Mitchell, George Mitchell, Marlene (Paul) Weeks, Allison (Valerie) Mitchell, Leslie (Karen) Mitchell, Beverley (Joey) Campbell and Dougie (Bonnie) Mitchell. Predeceased by his parents Levi and Emeline Jay, sister Mabel MacNevin, brother-in-law Richard Mitchell and sister-in-law Valerie (Omar) Harvie. Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. Funeral Wednesday from St. John’s United Church, Mount Stewart at 11 a.m. Interment in Mount Stewart Peoples Cemetery.
