Linda Joan Grant

It is with deep sadness that the family of Linda Joan Grant age 69 of River Hebert announce her passing on Sunday, August 6, 2017 surrounded by her loving family in Gables Lodge, Amherst.
Born in River Hebert, she was a daughter of the late Mabel (Berry) Fagan.
Linda worked for Oxford Frozen Food for many years. She enjoyed darts and was a member of the River Hebert Legion Darts, the Ladies Auxiliary and St. Paul’s CWL. She also liked knitting, quilting and camping, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She will be deeply missed by her children; daughters Angela Grant of Halifax, NS and Kathy (Darren) McDonald of Elmsdale, NS; son Michael of River Hebert; grandchildren David, Madison, Desiree, Zachary, Jessica, Samantha and Ashley; brothers Randy Fagan, William “Peter” Fagan, Leonard “Phillip” Fagan, John (Wendy) Fagan, Douglas (Sharon) Fagan and Darrell (Angie) Fagan; sisters Jean (Ron) Porter, Barbara (Roy) Snowdon, Donna (Warren) Watson and Nicole Fagan and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her mom, Linda was predeceased by her husband, George; sisters Louise Gouchie and Cathy Lynn Fagan.
Cremation has taken place.
A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm with funeral service on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 11 am, Deacon Howard Gotell officiating from Campbell’s Funeral Home Chapel, 98 Church St., Amherst (902) 667-9906.
Interment for Linda and George will take place in the River Hebert Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Linda’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the entire staff of Gables Lodge for the wonderful care provided to Linda and her family.
