Mary passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Pioneer Lodge. She married David Duncan in April of 1951, they had two daughters Joanne and Shauna. Mary taught for 25 years in elementary schools all over southern Saskatchewan, retiring in 1973. After spending a few years on the farm at Parkbeg, they settled in Moose Jaw in 1981. She really enjoyed her neighbors on Laurier Dr. When she turned 85 she moved to Mulberry Estates where she enjoyed the fellowship and activities provided there. Mary enjoyed travelling having made several trips to Europe, went on an Alaskan Cruise and travelled throughout Canada. She was very involved with the Church of Christ where she made many good friends. Mary is predeceased by her husband David; her two older brothers, and her five older sisters. She is survived by her two loving daughters Joanne (Greg) Lambsdown, and Shauna (Floyd) Carefoot; grandchildren Mark (Jocelyn) Carefoot, Scott Carefoot (Katie MacMillan); great-grandsons Chance Peters and Owen Carefoot. The family of Mary Duncan would like to thank Pioneer Lodge for the excellent care she received in her years there. A Funeral Service will take place Friday, August 11, 2017 at W. J. Jones Chapel (106 Athabasca St. E., Moose Jaw, SK), at 1:00PM. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery. Reverend Dave Moore will officiate. In lieu of flowers Memorial Donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (20 Eglinton Ave. W., Ste. 1600, Toronto, ON M4R 1K8).
