COLWILL, Beatrice May (née McDougall) passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on July 27, 2017 in Vancouver, BC. Bea was born March 25, 1931 in Pleasant Grove, Prince Edward Island to Edward and Alice McDougall and was predeceased by her two brothers, Lloyd and Francis. She will be dearly missed by Sterling, her husband of 57 years, her seven children and their spouses - Doreen (Doug), Sheila, Bruce (Laura), Suzanne (Manfred), Myrna (Graham), Elaine (Peter), Marion (Todd) - and thirteen grandchildren - Chelsea, Jasper, Rachel, Theresa, Matthew, Michael, Maria, Anna, Sarah, Heather, Katherine, Catriona and Trevor. Bea lived every day of her life with unparalleled generosity and kindness towards others. She offered a loving, welcome and open door to all into her home, always with a listening ear over a hot cup of tea and homemade biscuits. Her deep faith, open heart and joyful spirit made her a friend and mother to many. She was very involved in the life of both St Augustine's Parish and School over the years and had a positive influence on many lives. Her happiest moments were being with her family whom she so lovingly nurtured and continually inspired. During her recent health battles, she continued to provide strength to those around her and lived with faith, resilience and unwavering grace. May she be reunited with her loved ones and know how dearly she will be missed by those she leaves behind. Prayers were held at St Augustine's Catholic Church, 2028 West 7th Ave, Vancouver on Wednesday, August 2nd at 7:30pm (following the 7:00pm Mass). Funeral Mass was at St. Augustine's on Thursday, August 3rd at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Chalice.ca, to help the less fortunate in the world, or to the Canadian Cancer Society for cancer research.

She was a beautiful soul who loved everyone and everything and was deeply loved in return. We are eternally grateful, Mom.
