Peacefully, on August 5, 2017 at the Cornwall Community Hospital. Mr. Romain Lalonde, "Ham", from Cornwall; age 97 years. Beloved husband of the late Cecile Lalonde (née Campeau). Dear father of Iona Beauregard (Yvon), Edna Adams Knorr and the late Paulette Lalonde. Cherished grand-father of Paula Beauregard-Tuck, Lee Beauregard, Perry Adams and Chris Adams. Special great-grand father of Ashly Desaulniers Baker, Kaitlanne Beauregard, Kathleen Tuck, Carina Adams, Jacob Adams, Maxwell Adams, Cameron Tuck and Yvon-Jarret Beauregard. Great-great-grand father of Owen, Jared and Riely Desaulniers. Son of the late Alfred and Sophrina (neé Carriere) Lalonde. Survived by sisters, Stella Deneault, Ida Thibeault, Nelda Cote and Rita Mitchell. Predeceased by brothers; Fred, Ernest, Rene, Raymond, Herby and Sam, by sisters; Pearl Laviolette, Louise Whitford and Evelyn Beauvais and by his special nephew, Edmond (Min) Lalonde. Uncle Ham will be missed by his special nephew, Norman Beauvais. Family will be in attendance at Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, East Branch, 614 First Street East (613-933-2841) on Thursday, August 17, 2017 from 11 a.m until time of Service. A Memorial Service will be held in the Memorial Chapel of the Funeral Home on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 12 p.m. Inurnment at Notre Dame Cemetery.
