It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Mary Rose Norman (nee Greene), age 77 years, of Dunville, originally of Harbour Island Placentia Bay, at the Placentia Health Centre on August 14th, 2017. Leaving to mourn with many cherished and loving memories, 5 loving children, who followed in their fathers' footsteps with much love and devotion to their mother; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Mary was such a wonderful and caring mom, and leaves behind her children, Donna, Rick and Lucy, Tonda and Bill Healey, Deneille and Edgar Wilson, and Todd and April;grandchildren Richard, Kayla, Michael, Jordan, Tyler, Bradley, Susan, Lucas, and Mary Isabella; great-grandchildren Kaydence, Kaliahna, Cash, Carson, Cole, Cooper, and Rylee. Mary also leaves to mourn her siblings, Loretta and Bill Collins, Elsie and Art O'Keefe, Marion and Tom Griffiths, Frank Greene, Sylvia Kelly, and Pius and Yvonne Greene; her in-laws Mary Cec Greene, Suz and Tom Burke, Sonny and Lorraine Norman, Shirley and Jerome Kavanaugh, Din and Cathy Norman, and Margie and Randy Warren. Mary was so fortunate to have her children take special care of her, as they had promised their dad before he had passed. Donna is certainly an angel from heaven, we don't know what we would have done without her. The devotion she gave, not only to our mom but to our dad as well, meant more than she will ever know. We are so very grateful to our sister for keeping it all together. We are also so thankful for the special care, given to mom, by Linda Lake, whom we know, loved mom just as much as we did. After dad passed away, we are sure, he sent us you. Thank you Lulu. Mary was very fortunate to have many wonderful nieces, nephews and friends, too many people to mention but not too many to ever forget. Resting at Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia on Wednesday, August 16th from 6pm-9pm, and on Thursday, August 17th from 12pm-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Friday, August 18th, 11am, at St. Jerome's Church, Long Harbour, with interment to follow at Dermot McGettigan Memorial Cemetery, Southeast Placentia. Flowers or donations to a charity of one's choice are welcome. We take comfort in knowing that Mary Rose Norman knows who Mary Rose Norman is again.

"Love you all the stars in the sky and a big barrel of rashers"
