WATSON, Dale Colmer - January 4, 1955 - August 12, 2017 Age 62 years, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 12, 2017, with his family and closest friends by his side at the Cornwall Community Hospital, following a short, but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. With wonderful memories to cherish, Dale leaves behind his wife Wendy, his son Michael (Christina), his parents, Colmer and Teresa Watson, as well as extended family and a large circle of friends and former colleagues. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at the Community Care Access Centre (CCAC), the Ottawa Cancer Centre, the Cornwall Community Hospital Chemotherapy Clinic, and Medicine JMP-1 Unit for the exceptional care given to Dale over the past 6 weeks. A special thank you to the staff in the Emergency Department and Critical Care Unit in Cornwall for their diligence and compassion at a very difficult time. We will be forever grateful for the exceptional care provided by all those involved. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to WILSON FUNERAL HOME, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall, ON. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, August 20th, 2017 from 7-9pm, and Monday, August 21st, 2017 from 1-2pm. A Memorial Service to celebrate Dale’s life will be held following the Monday visitation starting at 2pm. Reception to follow at Knox-St. Paul’s United Church Hall in Cornwall. Donations can be made in Dale’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, or the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society.
