Robert “Bob” Peter Curniski passed away August 15, 2017 at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert, SK. Bob was born September 5, 1945 in Winnipeg MB to Alma and Pete Curniski.
After meeting the love of his life Betteann Russell, they married August 20, 1966. Together they raised one son, Jayson. Bob was a journeyman auto mechanic and a journeyman small motor mechanic. From 1958 - 1974 he worked at Gateway Motors, where outboard motors was his passion, 1971-1981 he worked at National Outboard Marine in Saskatoon and 1981-2009 at Leisure Sports Prince Albert as a small motor mechanic; retiring in 2009. Bob liked fishing, snowmobiling, boating, cards, coffee row, watching wrestling, spending time at the lake or at home with his family and especially attending his grandson Nash’s hockey and lacrosse games. Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife Betteann; his son Jayson (Cathy) and their children Nash and Oneale; his brother Jack (Rosemary Stonehouse) of Cranbrook BC.; his brothers-in-law Warren Russell of Saskatoon and Kirk (Heather) Russell of Airdrie, AB.; his sister-in-law Sharon Curniski of Prince Albert and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Alma and Pete Curniski; his brother Mel Curniski; his mother and father-in-law Albert and Mabel Russell and his sister-in-law Nancy Russell. A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00am, Saturday August 19, 2017 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert with Reverend Nora Vedress officiating. A Private Family Interment will be held. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
