Margaret Jean Pottie
It is with great sadness that we the family of Margaret announce her passing at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney on August 17, 2017.
She was the daughter of the late Cecil and Jean (Baker) Mason.
Margaret had a quiet strength, which proved her to be a strong individual in all her aspects of life throughout the years. She loved playing cards, Dice and Queen, Bingo and was an absolute lover of animals. She is survived by her daughter, Jean (Sheri King), Sydney; son, Claude (Colleen), Sydney; grandchildren, Melissa, Blair, Rebecca, Ryan, Jill, Bryan, Anthony and Jenn; several great grandchildren; sister, Connie Rhyno, Halifax; lifelong friend and companion Nicolas Middleton; Best friend Elizabeth Allen. Besides her parents she was predeceased by Husband, Charlie; twin sister, Marian and daughter-in-law, Sonya Doublett. Visitation will be Sunday, August 20, 2017 from 6-9 p.m. with celebration of life Monday August 21, 2017 at 11a.m. both in the SW Chant and Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra Street, Sydney. Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating. Donations in Margaret’s memory may be made to the Renee Sampson Animal Rescue or Palliative Care at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
