Marion Gallant
The death of Marion Bernice (Duffy) Gallant, loving wife of Fidele “Phil” Gallant, occurred peacefully at the Loch Lomond Villa on Sunday April 17, 2011 with her family by her side. Born 1925 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Effie (Daigle) Duffy. She worked as a housekeeper for the Admiral Beatty and Colonial Inn for many years. Devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, her hobbies included upholstering and crocheting. Besides her husband Phil, she is survived by her children Wayne (Mary) James of Willow Grove, Faith Grangello of Saint John, Phillip Gallant of China, Rosemarie Rogers of Saint John, Leonard (Denise) Landry of Myrnam, AB, Emery (Dale) Landry of Guelph, ON and Bernice Sears of Napanee, ON; brothers Randolf Duffy, Leonard (Rose) Duffy and Hubert Bailey all of Ontario; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her first husband Lewis James, brothers Charles Duffy, Marshall Duffy and Borden Bailey.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitations on Monday, April 18, 2011 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, April 19, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Ext.
