DAVID GERARD CONFIANT

On August 24th David Gerard Confiant passed away after a long and courageous battle with kidney disease. He left this world peacefully with his family by his side.
His passion for guitar and the Habs was eclipsed only by his undying love and affection for his children. He was Dana's hero and will always be Darren's best friend.
David was the youngest son of Bidda and the late Maurice Confiant.
Besides his mother he is survived by his wife, Dorothy; his children, Darren (Breanna) and Dana (DJ); brothers, John "Bucky" (Jane), Wayne (Janet), Paul (Marlene), Douglas (Bernadette), and Gary (Arlene), and sister, Maureen (Steve) Sokol. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews who all adored their Uncle David. David was predeceased by his father; his brother, Francis, and nephew, Darren.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, August 27, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at S.W. Chant and Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney.
A Celebration of his life will take place on Monday, August 28th at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Sheldon Chant to officiate.
Memorial donations may be made to the AnCala Palliative Care Unit, or the Renal Dialysis Unit of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
