Gerald James Neary, son of the late Gerald Neary and the late Irene Farrell passed away suddenly, at home, at the age of 71. Left to mourn are his wife Mardi Weltman; the daughter of his heart, Jeanne Kelly-Guillen and her husband Matthieu Maftei; his step-son Jared Ross; his in-laws; his stepbrothers and sisters and their families; his many godchildren; his aunts and uncles and cousins in and from Newfoundland and uncountable friends. Gerry had a special place in his heart for Jeanne and Matthieu's two sons Adrien and Charles. They called him Grumpy - the perfect name. Friends are invited to visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry 150 Woodroffe Avenue (at Byron) on Saturday, September 2nd from 1 p.m. until the time of the Celebration of Gerry's Life at 3 p.m. A reception will follow so that we will all have a chance to share memories. Please wear bright colours - especially fluorescent orange or a Hawaiian shirt. Donations in Gerry's memory can be made to Carefor, the Alzheimer Society or a charity of your choice.
