MANUEL, Willis - It is with sadness that the family of the late Willis George Manuel announce his passing on April 12, 2011 at the Agnes Pratt Seniors Home, St. John's NL, aged 67 years. Willis is predeceased by life partner, Shirley; father, William; mother, Flossie; and brother, Ron. Left to mourn are children, Elizabeth (Ron) and Billy; step-children, Derrick (Maria) and Carole (Scott); grandchildren, Joshua, Ryley, Trevor, Angela, Jimmy, and Zachery; sisters and brothers, Herb (Audrey), Elizabeth (Don), Marina (Willie), Marg (Cyril), Jim (Lorraine), Roy (Sophie), Alvin (Sandra), and Linda (Ted), and sister-in-law, Doreen. Pallbearers were brothers, Herb, Jim, and Alvin; brother-in-law, Gerald, son, Derrick, son-in-law, Scott. The visitation took place Thursday, April 14, 2011 at 2-4 and 7-9 pm from Botwood Funeral Home, 147 Commonwealth Drive, Botwood, NL. The funeral service took place Friday, April 15, 2011 at 1 pm from Trinity United Church with Rev. Stephen Barbour officiating. The interment followed at the United Church Cemetery, Botwood, NL. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Botwood Funeral Home.
