With broken hearts we, the family of James Bernard Bonar, regret to announce his passing on August 31, 2017 at age of 37.
Jimmy was the son of Leo (Rose Mary) and the late Carolyn (Callie) Bonar, grandson to Carl and Marie Bonar, and the Late Bernie and Rita MacDonald.
Jimmy loved life and lived it to the fullest. Jimmy was very giving and kind hearted person, his family meant everything to him. He also had a love of mechanics and carpentry.
Besides his parents and grandparents, Jimmy leaves behind to mourn his loss, his brother and best friend, Leo Jr.; his two nephews, Logan and Brayden who he loved with all his heart; also many, aunts, uncles and cousins of the Bonar and MacDonald families, along with his girlfriend, Alana.
Besides his mother and grandparents, Jimmy was predeceased by many aunts, uncles and cousins of both Bonar and Macdonald families who were very dear to him.
Visitation for the late Jimmy Bonar will be held Tuesday , September 5, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at J.M. Jobes Funeral Home, 635 Main St., Sydney Mines. A Funeral Mass to celebrate Jimmy’s life will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Bras d’Or, with Fr. Peter McLeod officiating.
