Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family at the L.A. Miller Centre, on Friday, April 15, 2011, Gerald O’Brien, aged 66 years. Predeceased by his father, Robert John O’Brien and his mother, Katherin Dyke. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Nina; sons: Kirk (Leslie) and Keith (Nhung); daughter Janice, and their mother Carolyn; grandchildren: Matthew, Laura, Lilly, Laurel, Leah, Rose Ly, and Kian; stepchildren: Cassandra Pallot (Paul), and Ken Butt; brother Larry (Jean); Aunt Myrtle Moorehouse (Frank); as well as other relatives, friends, and acquaintances. Special thank you to the staff of the Palliative Care Unit of the L.A. Miller Centre. Visitation will take place at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, on Sunday, April 17 from 7-9 p.m. and on Monday, April 18 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Memorial service will be held at The Church of St. Stephen The Martyr, 10 Pearl Pl. (off of Brookfield Rd.) on Tuesday, April 19, at 2 p.m. Interment will take place in Salvage, Bonavista Bay at a later date.
