It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend, Marilyn Anne O'Dea on September 14, 2017 at the age of 62. Predeceased by her parents Neil and Loretta Puddester, sister Emmie, brother Neil, niece Rhonda Lundrigan, nephew Johnny Lundrigan, great nephew Rodney O'Brien, and father-in-law Paddy O'Dea. Left with fond and loving memories, her devoted husband and best friend, Pat; her treasured sons Neil and Colin (Bryn); brothers Kevin (Marlene) and Reg (Pat); sisters Pat (John), Carol (Melvin) and Anita (Gus); godchildren Tommy Lundrigan and Hayly Simpson; special brother-in-law Brian O'Dea, the O'Dea family, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins including Joan Hutchings. She also leaves to mourn her loyal friends Mary Mullowney, Pat Lundrigan, Elizabeth Maloney and Lynn Emberley as well as her friends at the O'Connor 50 Plus Club and Tors Cove Dart League. Thank you to Drs. Tompkins, Popadiuk and staff of the H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre. To the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the L.A. Miller Centre, words cannot express our gratitude for the phenomenal care and kindness shown to Marilyn and our family during this most difficult time. Marilyn was a dedicated teacher having taught at Baltimore High School and Mobile High School. Resting at Ryan's Funeral Home, Bay Bulls. Visitation on Saturday, September 16 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Sunday, September 17 from 2 pm to 9 pm. Mass of the Christian burial will take place at Sts. Peter and Paul RC Church, Bay Bulls, September 18, 2017 at 1 pm. Interment to follow at Our Lady of Mount Loretta RC Cemetery, Bay Bulls. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Elaine Dobbin Center for Autism.
