The family settled in Beechy in 1967, after many years of service Tom retired from the CN in 1986. Tom was a man of many interests and community involvements, notably as mayor of Beechy from 1969 to 1976 and as an alderman from 1996 to 2003. Tom loved amateur sports and this lead him to serve as the President of the Saskatchewan Amateur Hockey Association and also in other executive positions with SAHA from 1967 to 1983. Tom was a lifelong Montreal Canadiens and Saskatchewan Roughriders supporter. He was also very involved with Prairie Lake Regional Park on Lake Diefenbaker where he spent many hours fishing and visiting with other cabin owners. Tom loved his family and was always happiest when all his children and grandchildren were together. We will forever miss his love and support. The family would like to thank all the staff at RUH ICU for the wonderful care given to Tom and the compassion and support given to his family.
