Helen (Nell) Irene Howell (nee Morrissey)

It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of our dear devoted mother, surrounded by her loving family by her side at home. Predeceased by her husband Albert; children Betty, Helen and David; her parents James and Molly Morrissey; sisters Mary, Marg and Ursula; brothers Kenneth, Ed, Frank and Thomas. Leaving to mourn her 13 wonderful children Alec (Sandra), Betty (deceased), son-in-law Dave Rudicil, Wayne (Gail), Frank (Anne), Gwen (Dave Williams), Dennis (Olive), Jimmy, Patsy (Gerry Beaudry), Margie (Joe Clemens who she resided with), Gary (Joanne), Sherry (Herb Lewis), Kathy (Kevin Hunt), Cindy (Bill Jackman), Darren (Renee), Mark Boily who was like a son; 30 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; her brother Paddy and Murley Morrissey; sister Ernestine (Ray Grant, deceased) of North Carolina; brother-in-law Truman, Phyllis Howell; sister-in-law Ruth (Walt, deceased), Ruby (Ern, deceased); all her nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Dr. Percy Crocker and all the staff of Eleven Elizabeth Family Practice, Vivienne Ryan Eastern Health Nurse, her caregivers Imelda, Sharon Clemens, Joanne Sharpe and all the neighbors for all their kindness to our dear mother. Very special friends Patsy, Jim Powell, Bernard, Judy Riderson and her very special friend Marie Clemens who sat many nights sharing good memories and stories, we thank you for all the compassion to our dear Mother. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Saturday from 2-9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 2 p.m. from the Basilica of St. John the Baptist. Interment to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation may be made in her memory to a charity of one's choice.
