SAULNIER, Elizabeth Marie – Age 81, of Arcadia, Yarmouth County, passed away on September 30th, 2017, in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital, Yarmouth. Born in Wedgeport on January 6th, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Nellie (Cottreau) Doucet. Elizabeth was a loving wife and a great mom. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren unconditionally. She was an avid quilter and loved knitting and jigsaw puzzles. She loved to go for drives in the car and spent many hours with her husband Elize. Elizabeth is survived by her children, Glenda (Kenny) Surette, Melbourne; Ronny (Diane) Saulnier, Melbourne; Beverly (Aldric) LeBlanc, Arcadia, and Patsy Saulnier, Melbourne; grandchildren, Melissa, Allison, Katelyn, Matthew, and Michael; great grandchildren, Madison, Marissa, and Lincoln; siblings, Joseph (Catherine) Doucet, Wedgeport; Bobby (Gertrude) Doucet, Wedgeport; Joanne (David) Doucette, Wedgeport; Helene Robbins, Wedgeport; Violet Doucet, B.C. She was predeceased by her husband, Elize John Saulnier. Funeral arrangements were under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth, with visitation from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Monday, October 2nd with prayers at 8 p.m. in the funeral home in Yarmouth. A mass of christian burial took place on Tuesday at 2 p.m. from Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Melbourne, Father Henry Smolenaars officiated. A burial was held in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations in Elizabeth’s memory may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation. Flowers were welcomed.
