Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family on Thursday, August 6, 2009, aged 85 years, formerly of Cape Freels. Predeceased by his infant son Eldon. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 56 years, Rhyma (nee Stagg); two daughters: Bessie (Victor) Kendall and Cora (Gary) Vinnicombe; four grandchildren: Bridget (Andre) Power, Michael, Mark and Justin; two great-grandchildren: Kendall and Matthew; one sister Alice (James) Rideout; one sister-in-law Martha Humphries, also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Friday, August 7th, 2009 from 10-12 p.m., 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to take place from Barrett’s Chapel, 328 Hamilton Avenue on August 8th, 2009 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
