STOKES, M. Bernice (Wheaton) – Entered into rest peacefully, with her family by her side, on Tuesday, October 3rd at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, in her 81st year. Bernice was the beloved wife of the late Nelson Stokes for 60 years. Bernice was the loving mother of Holly (Claude) Blacksky, Gordon (Debbie) Stokes and Donna Stokes. She was the dear grandmother of Tanya, Amber, Matthew, Lisa, Joshua and Jessica, and great grandmother of Brittney, Madison, Mitchell, Megan, Mackenzie, Anna, George, Matthew, Layne, Eoin and Aireon. Beloved sister of Ernest Wheaton.
A graveside service was held at Riverside Cemetery, 347 Lindsay Street South, on Friday, October 6, at 1 pm. If desired, a memorial donation can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada at
