DAVIDSON, Carolyn Bertha - 63, formerly of Kentville, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2011 in the Kings Regional Rehabilitation Centre, Waterville. Born in Kentville, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Annie (Farris) Dempsey. She had been employed in the housekeeping department of the former Blanchard Fraser Memorial Hospital, Kentville, retiring due to ill health. She was a member of the South Alton Baptist Church and a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion, Kings Branch No. 6, Kentville. She is survived by a daughter, Michelle (Paul) Melanson, Kentville; a sister, Ellen Dempsey, Kentville; six brothers, James, British Columbia; Arthur (Linda), White Rock; Richard (Donna), North Alton; Willie (Susan), Kentville; Anthony (Thuy), British Columbia; Michael, Kentville; four grandchildren, Cody, Makayla, Jaygr and Logan; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her former husband, Reginald Davidson; a sister, Gwynneth Comeau; a brother, Chris. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2011 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service, followed by a reception, was held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2011, Reverend Freda MacDonald officiating. Burial took place in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff and caregivers of Kings Regional Rehabilitation Centre, with a special thank you to Phyllis Lutz on MacArthur Unit. Donations in memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
