In celebration of her life and to mourn her passing it is with great sadness the family of their beautiful Betty announces her passing at the Dr. Charles Legrow Health Centre in Port aux Basque, NL, on Friday, October 13, 2017, at the age of 71 years, surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her husband Max; parents John and Bertha Osmond; mother and father-in-law Irene and Hubert Simms and brother Roy Osmond. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her son Johnny; her cherished grandson Evan (Kim Roberts); her three brothers and four sisters Kyrle (Vera), Gerry (Mary), John (Nina), Minnie (John) O'Quinn, Ruby (Gary) Chaffey, Marie (Fred) Manuel and Marina (Bernie) Sheaves. Also leaving to mourn a large number of nieces, nephews, church sisters and brothers, and a multitude of loving friends. As per Betty's request cremation has taken place. The memorial service will take place at the Anglican Church of the Resurrection in Birchy Head, NL, on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 with Rev. Kay Short officiating, with the Inurnment to follow at the family plot of the Church Cemetery in Birchy Head, NL. As expression of sympathy flowers and or donations can be made in Betty's memory to the Church of the Resurrection, would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
