Passed peacefully away at home at age 73 surrounded by his loving family. His beautiful and genuine love for life will always be cherished and celebrated by his wife Helen Marie, daughters Jennifer Roche (Jeff Gallagher), Heather Jackman (Neal), Allison Locke (Jeffrey), grandchildren Patrick, Isabelle and Thomas who gave their "Poppy" never-ending joy and laughter. Sadly, and recently predeceased by eldest daughter Alexandra Roche, August 18, 2017, with whom he shared this recent challenging journey. Leaving to mourn sister Ann Newhook, nieces and nephews Karen, Shawn, Stephen, Kelly, Michael and Renee Morrey, Jamie Roche who was like his son, sister-in-law Barbara O'Dea (Frank), nieces and nephews Frankie, Daneile, Johnathan and Regan. Also predeceased by parents Lucy and Thomas Roche, brother Tommy Roche, and sisters Frances Brewster and Shirley LeBlanc. Sandy's energy, humor and zest for life endeared him to life-long relationships, great adventures home and abroad, and many achievements personally and professionally. Sandy truly understood that any success in life was only possible through an unwavering love and dedication of your family. Sandy will be resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, visitation on Tuesday from 7-9 pm and Wednesday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, October 19th at 9:30 am at Corpus Christi Church, Waterford Bridge Road, inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to join us in celebrating Sandy's life at the Bungalow in Bowring Park, Thursday from 7-10 pm. Flowers are gratefully accepted or a donation can be made in his memory to the Rotary Club of Waterford Valley, Waterford River Project (info@waterfordvalleyrotary.ca) or charity of one's choice.
