David Hall

HALL, David Roger- It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Lord David Roger Hall, son of the late Ruth (Smith) and Roger Hall of Hebron. Also known as Lord Camdon, David was a graduate of Acadia University member of Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Hiram Lodge AF&AM (Masons) and Philae Temple (Shriners) and founder of the rebirth of automotive racing in Yarmouth. From an automotive family David along with father Roger and brother Jim developed Motor Mart Ltd. and Tri-Star Industries Ltd. (ambulance manufacturers in Yarmouth within Canada and exported to many countries around the world). Resident of the UK for many years, he was a frequent traveller to Iraq during the 1980’s and had a special fondness for the people of Iraq. David served in the Canadian Navel Reserves and the Canadian Army Reserve 14th Field Battery. He was a recipient of the Canadian Confederation Medal. David is survived by his son Jonathan (Sarah), love of his life Bea, brother Jim (Sheila), Jennifer Hall (niece), Jeffrey Hall (nephew). Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny's Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation took place Wednesday, October 18th from 7-9p.m. from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. A Masonic Service took place on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from Hiram Lodge 12 located in Hebron. A funeral service took place Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 2 p.m. from the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Yarmouth, Rev. Doug Chard officiated. Burial took place in the Yarmouth Mountain Cemetery. Donations may be made to charity of choice. A reception followed in the church hall.
