Passed peacefully away at Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Monday, October 16, 2017, George Seward of Gooseberry Cove, aged 98 years. Predeceased by his parents Jessie and Obediah Seward; three brothers and three sisters. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Nellie Frances Seward of 74 years; daughters Dorothy (Eric), Shoal Harbour, Alena (Edmund), Burgoynes Cove, Rowena (Otto), Fox Cove; sons Austin (Clarabelle), Gooseberry Cove, Alonzo, Gooseberry Cove, Alvin (Valerie), Hodge's Cove, Hubert (Bernice), Barrie, ON, Merlin (Daniel), Toronto, ON, Terry, Gooseberry Cove, Darrin (Bonnie), Queens Cove and Rod (Nikki), Toronto, ON; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Fewer's Funeral Home, Little Hearts Ease on Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 20, 2017 at Bethany United Church, Southport with interment at United Cemetery, Little Hearts Ease. In his memory donations may be made to the United Church Cemetery Fund, Southport.
