Carpenter Donald Joseph It is with heavy hearts that we say good bye to a husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. Donnie passed away suddenly on October 18th, 2017 at the QEII Halifax. He was born in1935 in Dundas, Ontario to Clayton and Frances Carpenter. He joined the Royal Canadian Navy and was stationed in Halifax where he met and married the love of his life Georgina (Gaudet) with whom he enjoyed a rich and wonderful life for 61 years. After five years in the Navy he moved his family back to Dundas to work in the family Electrical Construction business with his brother Ken. Georgina longed for home (NS) so Donnie accepted a job with Michelin Tire Canada where he retired after 20 years. After retirement he spent his winters in Florida where he became an excellent Shuffler participating in many Leagues and Tournaments throughout Florida.
