It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce, after a short battle with cancer, the passing of our dear brother, father, uncle, cousin and friend at the age of 49 in Ottawa, Ontario. He was predeceased by his parents Lloyd and Cora Sparkes, his sister Iris Hayter (nee Sparkes). Left with fond and loving memories his partner Linda Lepage and his son Mark Sparkes. and stepmother Betty Dyke Sparkes. He also leaves to mourn his sisters Christine (John), Deer Lake, NL, Jackie (Doug) Oshawa, ON and Donna (Bruce) Angus, ON, his nephews and nieces Michael, Christopher, Tammy, Paul, Cory, Matthew, Sara and Samantha, as well as his many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and friends. In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place in Ottawa, Ontario and a celebration of life will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
